Offal #1

148 x 210mm, 186 pages
London, UK
Editors: Mark Blacklock and Roderick Stanley
Designers: Richard Turley and Julia Schaffer

A brilliant, independent journal of literary and artistic offcuts, collected from the leftovers and scraps of other projects and jobs. Includes fiction from Ned Beauman, an opera by cult musician Actress, a reverie by Scott King, and song lyrics from Gemma Anderson. Plus a business proposal for Thom Yorke.

Put together by Rod Stanley, late of Good Trouble, and novelist Mark Blacklock, and designed by Richard Turley (Nuts, Civilization) and Julia Schaffer (Nuts).

Designed using Microsoft Word, and printed in two colour red and black, Offal is a unique addition to our art/lit mags.

On the Journal
‘A magazine built of leftovers from other projects and designed using Microsoft Word may not sound the most exciting prospect. Yet new launch Offal demonstrates just how useful such limitations can be.’
