On the Journal:
‘Late nineties thrift magazine Cheap Date has been cited by contemporary magazine makers like Char and Bertie of Mushpit as a major inspiration. Last week, Cheap Date founders Kira Jolliffe and Bay Garnett launched a new magazine, Fanpages, with a party at Dover Street Market.
The new magazine comes in the form of a teenage annual or yearbook; a glossy hardback cover contains what the editors describe as ‘a series of especially made one-page fanzines.’ They invited submissions from friends and associates across fashion, art and publishing and including many of those linked to Cheap Date.’ Read more of Jeremy's review.
