Family Style describes itself as ‘a fantasy dinner party in the form of an arts and culture journal.’ While the name is borrowed most obviously from the style of shared eating, it is also inspired by the congregation of a shared discourse. Guest editor and chef Gregory Gourdet divides this first edition into three sections – Aperitivo, Dinner Service, and Something Sweet – and focuses on creativity, community, and cuisine.
The inaugural issue is photographically rich and starts from the beginning for all families: the home. Explore the literal and abstract qualities of the domestic sphere with the four cover stars actor Chloe Sevigny, artist Michèle Lamy & family, performance artist Jade Guanaro Kuriki-Olivo, and models Maty Fall Diba and Ajok Diang.
