It's Freezing in LA! #5
175 x 245 mm, 60 pages. London, UK
‘Ice storm rolls from Texas to Tennessee – I'm in Los Angeles and it’s freezing. Global warming is a total, and very expensive, hoax,’ said Donald Trump in 2013. Let's hope that in time his legacy will be dominated by considered responses to his idiocy, an example being inspiring the name of the leading independent magazine about climate change.
Now on its fifth issue, IFLA has defined a new type of politically engaged indie mag: creatively engaged but intelligently lo-fi, it places environmentalism in the everyday.
The cover and featured graphics for the issue record the slow recovery of the oxone layer over Antarctica.
On the Journal:
The (earlier) third issue of climate change mag It’s Freezing in LA highlights protest, noting the use of strikes and marches by environmentalists while reminding us the gilets jaunes in France have protested against fuel price hikes aimed at ecological change.
